Audit Manager
Flexibility, Family-First Culture, and a Firm That Actually Walks the Talk
You’ve probably heard the “work-life balance” pitch before, but what if this time, it was actually true?
If you’re an Audit Manager who wants to keep growing professionally without giving up evenings, weekends, or time with family, this firm gets it. They’ve created a space where you can do challenging, meaningful work and still have room for the rest of your life.
This isn’t a high-turnover, high-pressure environment. The team is around 45–50 people, and they’ve grown steadily without sacrificing culture. People tend to stick around here because the environment actually supports them. Both in their careers and their personal lives.
During busy season, they keep hours under 50 a week, and outside of that, the flexibility ramps up. You’ll have the option to work remotely, manage your own schedule, and prioritize what matters most to you, whether that’s family time, hobbies, or just a breather from the usual pace.
What you’ll be doing: • Leading and mentoring audit associates, including acting as in-charge on fieldwork • Managing client relationships and being the main point of contact • Performing quality control reviews • Supporting business development and contributing to proposals • Playing a part in the continued growth of the audit department and the firm
What they’re looking for: • CPA license (or actively working toward it) • Solid audit experience in public accounting • Leadership skills and a genuine interest in mentoring others • Someone who values both career progression and having a life outside of work
This is a long-term opportunity with a firm that believes your personal life shouldn’t be a trade-off for professional success. If you’ve been waiting for the right balance, this might be your sign.
Interested? Click the apply button, and I’ll be in touch to discuss the opportunity. If you’d prefer a chat first, feel free to call me, Imogen Talbot Slack, at 312-584-9844 or connect with me on LinkedIn at Imogen Talbot-Slack, Distinct North America.
Not Sure You Meet All the Qualifications? We still encourage you to apply! If you don’t meet every requirement, don’t let that stop you. The firm is dedicated to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace, and we are always looking for talent with a range of experiences. If this role isn’t the perfect fit, we may have other opportunities in public accounting that are a better match.
