Partner | Independent CPA Firm
Arlington, TX
Compensation negotiable, with route to Equity
Most Partner adverts talk about leadership.
What they really mean is keeping the work moving, holding the team together, and quietly taking on more responsibility without much clarity on what you are actually stepping into.
This one is different.
We are working with an established independent CPA firm in Arlington (TX) that is looking to hire a Partner level CPA to play a major role in the next chapter of the business. The firm has been serving local individuals and businesses for many years, offers tax, accounting, payroll, financial statements, and broader business advisory support, and has built its reputation on personal service rather than volume for volume’s sake. It is a long standing local firm with a team of around a dozen people, based in Arlington, Texas.
It is about bringing in someone with the experience and credibility to help lead client relationships, support and develop the team, and shape the future direction of the firm alongside the existing leadership group. The firm was founded in the early 2000’s by experienced local practitioners and continues to operate as a partner led business with a strong local client base. It added a new partner in a couple of years ago, demonstrating they are a firm open to succession, growth, and evolving its leadership team in a deliberate way.
Why this job stands out
A lot of senior accounting professionals reach a point where they want more than just another busy season.
They want a real seat at the table.
They want to influence client strategy, mentor good people, help shape the standards of the firm, and be part of something that still feels personal.
That is what this opportunity offers.
You would be joining a respected independent firm where relationships matter, decisions are made locally, and your voice would carry real weight. For the right person, this is a genuine chance to step into a leadership role with substance, not just status.
What you will be doing
You will take ownership of a portfolio of client relationships across tax, accounting, and advisory work.
That is likely to include:
Managing and reviewing complex tax work for individuals and privately owned businesses
Overseeing client service across accounting, payroll, and financial reporting engagements
Acting as a trusted adviser to business owners and long standing local clients
Supporting, mentoring, and developing staff across the firm
Working closely with the existing Partners on workflow, standards, client retention, and future growth
Helping shape the longer term direction of the practice as part of the leadership team
Who this suits
This role is likely to suit a CPA who is already operating at Senior Manager, Director, or Partner level within public accounting and wants a role with more influence, more trust, and more visible impact.
You will probably bring:
Strong experience in public accounting
A track record of leading client relationships and reviewing quality work across tax and accounting
The credibility to support and develop a team
Commercial judgement and the confidence to advise business owners
A genuine interest in helping shape a firm, not just servicing a book of work
If you are looking for a move where your experience will be taken seriously and where partnership actually means something, this is worth a conversation.
