“If you love your job, you’ll never work a day in your life…” Unless you work in tax — then you’ll definitely be working. A lot. But at least this firm gets it and knows how to keep things balanced.
I’m helping a CPA firm in King of Prussia find a solid Public Accountant. They’ve been around for over 50 years and have that rare combo of stability + a genuinely good team. The Managing Partner has been there 36 years (which says a lot), and people tend to stick around and grow.
They do about 4,500 tax returns a year (individuals, businesses and trusts) so you won’t be stuck doing the same thing over and over. Everyone jumps in and does a bit of everything.
Yes, busy season is busy – Jan through April 15th is around 55 hours/week. But from May through September, they switch to 4-day weeks to give people a proper break. It balances out.
They’re looking for someone with around 3 – 10 years of public accounting experience. If you’ve used Lacerte, cool. If not, also fine. More importantly, they want someone solid who knows their stuff and wants to be part of a team that actually enjoys working together.
There’s room to grow if that’s your thing, but if you just want to do great work and not chase a Partner title, that’s cool too.
