It was refreshing to hear this from the Partner of this small CPA firm in New Jersey.
He’d contacted us as he wants to hire someone like you, an experienced Senior Tax Associate.
It was in response to a question asking what made his firm different. Because, let’s face it, every CPA firm in the country are looking to hire Tax Managers at the moment.
He takes care of his staff.
That’s probably why people have been there so long (some 20 years +). You’ll be paid well, you won’t have to work ridiculous hours at busy season either. Some do 1400 hours a year, some do 1600. Whatever works for your schedule / home life.
It’s a hybrid schedule. Nothing fixed, but most tend to come into the office 60% of the week.
The job’s weighted a little towards 1040 preparation, but you’ll also handle a number of business clients too.
It’s only a small firm, less than 20 people. But the tech is as good as you’ll get in the bigger firms.
You won’t be battling against poor systems, allowing you to work efficiently.
