Most Senior Tax Manager and Tax Director roles look the same. Endless hours, rigid structures, and the same line about “leadership opportunities.” This one actually delivers.
This firm is growing and looking for someone who isn’t just there to crank out returns. They want a leader. Someone who takes initiative, values flexibility, and brings people along with them.
What’s on offer:
- If you’re local, you can be in the office two days a week. If not, remote is absolutely fine.
- Uncapped bonus structure.
- Busy season means 50–55 billable hours, not 70+. Half-day Fridays in the summer.
- A mix of industries and complex tax matters that keep the work interesting.
- 401(k) with profit sharing, paid family leave, employer-paid disability, and more.
The role:
- Lead and review 990/990-PF filings.
- Advise clients and internal teams on nonprofit and private foundation tax planning.
- Act as a technical resource across partnership taxation, M&A, trusts and estates, and entity structuring.
- Participate in tax technical committees and lead weekly manager-level updates.
- Mentor staff and help grow the next layer of leadership.
- Manage client relationships as a trusted advisor.
What they’re looking for:
- CPA.
- 10+ years in public accounting.
- Experience managing teams and reviewing complex returns.
- Strong technical knowledge in nonprofit, partnership, trust, and corporate tax.
- Someone who communicates clearly and brings solutions to the table.
If you’re looking for a senior role where you can lead, shape the team around you, and still have a life outside of work, this is worth applying for.
