You’re at the checkout in Aldi. The belt is full, you’ve got your Tater Tots, Banana’s, Graham Crackers and obviously the PB&J.
You quickly down your pre workout shot.
The scanning starts.
Before you know it, groceries are flying towards you at a lightning speed.
You start well, heavy items at the bottom, raw and cooked meats separate, but before you know it, you’re in survival mode.
It’s like the Olympic games of grocery packing.
You begin to sweat, the heart rate sneaks above 150 and you’ve got a tower of groceries piling up in front of you. Your bread is getting crushed under your milk and your eggs have just fallen on the floor.
And the checkout operator is showing no signs of slowing.
Aldi 1 Enervated Tax Manager 0.
It’s a bit like when you work for a CPA firm who keep taking on new clients, even though they’re short staffed.
You’re the one that suffers. As client after client is added to your list.
This won’t happen if you join this NY based mid-sized CPA firm.
They’re very selective when they take on new clients and will only do so when they know they have the staff to properly service their clients.
Their staff retention is superb because they really do value your work-life balance. Yes, things will get busy during Feb, March and April, but you certainly won’t be reaching burn out point like you may do in some of the bigger firms.
You’ll be joining them as a Tax Manager, reviewing and signing business, individual and trust tax returns. You’ll have extensive client exposure too – building and maintaining strong relationships across a diverse range of industries.
Busy season hours are around 55 per week, you’ll get 100% healthcare coverage and 401(k) employer match, reduced summer hours and it’s Partner track potential.
Want a tip on how to slow things down at the checkout? Split up your bunch of bananas and place each one at regular intervals on the belt. They’ll have to weigh each one giving you some breathing space.
