If you’re looking for a firm where your work matters, your growth is supported, and your life outside of work is respected, this could be a great fit.
A well-established mid-sized CPA firm is hiring a Generalist Tax Manager who’s ready to take the next step in their career. This role offers the chance to work with a wide range of clients: individuals, partnerships, corporations, nonprofits, and trusts, while building meaningful relationships and doing work that makes a difference.
You’ll manage both compliance and advisory projects across multiple entity types and tax areas, giving you exposure to a broad set of technical challenges. The firm offers a strong culture of mentorship, flexible scheduling, and real opportunities to grow without the burnout.
Why this could be a great fit:
- Variety in Your Work: Handle a mix of individual, business, and trust tax work, no siloing.
- Client Relationships: Be a trusted advisor, not just a preparer. You’ll work closely with clients year-round.
- Career Growth: Clear advancement opportunities with support from engaged leadership.
- Work-Life Balance: Structured hours, flexible hybrid options, and a culture that respects boundaries.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee tax compliance and planning for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Advise clients on tax-saving strategies, business decisions, and entity structure.
- Perform technical tax research and help resolve complex tax issues.
- Collaborate across departments, including SALT, HNW, and nonprofit specialists.
- Train and mentor staff, review returns, and contribute to team development.
What you’ll bring:
- CPA license and a bachelor’s in accounting or related field.
- 4+ years in public accounting with experience in both individual and business tax.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead client engagements.
- A proactive, team-first mindset and desire to keep growing.
