Working for a small firm can be a great way to kick start your Public Accounting career. You familiarise yourself with various returns and work across multiple industries.
But have you now reached a stage of your career where you want to specialize?
Perhaps you look at the Senior Managers & Partners in your Firm and think, “they’re not going anywhere, so how can I progress?”
Maybe the time is right for you to experience life in a bigger firm.
Not too big though.
Going into the Big 4 could be a leap too much – it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle.
How about a Large National Firm?
One that’s big enough to give you the progression you crave, but small enough for you to still get the exposure to Partners you’ve enjoyed so far in your career.
If you’re based in the EST time zone, you can work fully remote. If you’re in NY/NJ, you can also work remotely, but you’ll have a number of offices you could base yourself out of, as and when you please.
You’ll be focussed on Tax Compliance and Advisory services for a range of Flow Through Entities and Partnerships.
Partner track is there for you, if that’s what you want.
If you see yourself staying at the Manager / Senior Manager level for the foreseeable, that’s OK too.
