Not every Tax Manager role means giving up your nights and weekends for half the year.
This firm gets it.
They’re small, tight-knit, and run by two partners — one of whom came from a large national firm. He’s seen the bureaucracy, the red tape, the 70-hour weeks. And he’s deliberately built something different.
This is a place where:
- You ease into busy season (think 45–50 hour weeks early on, gradually building to 60 in the second half of April)
- June through December is genuinely flexible, take the morning for appointments, book the long weekend, no drama
- Everyone knows your name, your dog’s name, and that you take oat milk in your coffee
- There’s a clear path up, one of the partners is planning for succession
The work?
- 2/3 tax (1040s, 1065s, 1120s, and a healthy estate/trust practice)
- Mostly closely held businesses
- Some audit work in the off-season
- They use ProSystem fx, if you know it, great. If not, they’ll train you.
They’re looking for a CPA (or someone nearly there) who wants to step into a Tax Manager role that lets you grow and breathe.
Ideally in-office or hybrid, but they’re already set up for remote and are flexible for the right person.
