This firm doesn’t pay above or below market rate. We’re talking $85,000 – $90,000 for a Senior.
Their busy season hours aren’t out of the ordinary. You’ll be somewhere between 50 and 55. Maybe touching 60 in the last week before 4.15.
Not too different to your current firm, right? So, why apply?
You’ll have direct access to the two Partners. There’s only 10 staff in total, so they have time to give you. But what does this actually mean?
You’ll be given complex individual and entity returns to prepare. You’ll pass these on to the Partners, but it won’t be the last you’ll see of them. Before they sign them, they’ll sit with you and go through all the review points. They’ll do this until your ready to review returns of others.
They want you to develop and progress. They even see you as a future Partner in the Firm. But they know they’ll need to help you get there. It’s time they’re willing to invest.
It probably explains why 30% of their staff have been with them over 20 years.
They’ll pay all of your healthcare costs too. And 50% of any family members.
