Do you really need to give up your personal life to progress in your career?
At some firms, yes.
At this firm, absolutely not.
If you join this firm, your life outside of work will be respected as much as your work life, and you will be given as much support as possible both at work and for your personal life, so that you can flourish professionally and personally.
You will be joining a national firm with all the resources and tech of a firm their size but with the culture of a much smaller firm.
Here, your well-being will be prioritized as much as your progression. This isn’t just talking either, as well as your unlimited PTO allowance, you will have several ‘disconnect days’ sprinkled throughout the year, where the whole firm shuts down, so unlike when you take PTO and the rest of the firm is working, on disconnect days, no one will be bombarding you with emails and you can actually switch off.
You will also be entitled to their comprehensive benefits package, which includes all the usuals, as well as a great parental leave policy, tuition reimbursements, HSA, Disability coverage, a variety of fitness and wellness reimbursements, personal and professional coaching, pet adoption assistance and many others.
The team you are joining is very collaborative and supportive. There is no super corporate culture here, you will be treated like an adult and given all the tools you need to succeed, and the support you need to thrive.
You won’t be expected to work crazy hours either. During the peaks of busy season, you’ll be working 55-60 hours MAX, and you’ll work a much shorter week outside of this.
You will be a part of the Flow-Through Tax team so you will be working on various middle market partnerships, S corps and individuals. You will be exposed to some pretty complex tax work, so you will be continuously challenged and encouraged to grow. As well as compliance work, you will be involved in tax research projects and tax planning for your clients.
They’d love you to go into the office a day or two a week, but this is super flexible and you won’t be made to go into the office just for the sake of it.
