Trust & Estate Tax Manager – Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Tired of the same old tax season grind?
At this mid sized firm in Boston, you’ll find something different. A real path to growth. Clients who trust you. And a team that actually values your expertise in trust and estate work.
This isn’t just a “review returns and go home” kind of role. You’ll be a key part of the firm’s Trust & Estate practice—working directly with high net worth individuals and families, reviewing complex returns, advising on estate planning strategies, and helping clients protect their legacies. The team is collaborative, technically sharp, and happy to share the workload.
“We want people who enjoy this niche. Who like solving tricky estate planning questions and building long term relationships with clients. There’s plenty of room to grow here.” – Partner, Trust & Estate
What you’ll be doing:
Reviewing fiduciary, personal income, gift, and estate tax returns
Collaborating with attorneys and advisors on estate planning strategies
Guiding clients through IRS notices and audits (without the panic)
Mentoring junior team members and sharing what you know
Helping the firm grow—through referrals, writing, or community involvement
You’ll need strong experience in trust and estate (1041s, 709s, 706s, etc), plus your CPA or EA. JD or LLM is a bonus, but not a dealbreaker.
This is the kind of role where you get to go deep. Where your expertise is respected. And where your time outside work matters too—there’s flexibility here, great benefits, and a team that won’t make you feel guilty for having a life.
If it sounds like a fit, message me.
And if it doesn’t? That’s okay too. I might have something else for you.
