Unsurprisingly, many public accounting professionals have turned to platforms like Reddit’s r/accounting community for advice on busy season snacking.

This season, inspired by the power of food to bring people together (and the fact that free team meals consistently rank as a favorite busy season perk), we’re excited to launch a simple, healthy recipe series.
First up? Healthy chocolate! Arran Jaiswal has whipped up a quick and easy recipe that satisfies your sweet tooth while providing the slow-release energy you need to power through those long workdays. Let’s dive in!
Healthy chocolate recipe
Ingredients:
- ⅓ – ½ cup coconut oil
- 4 tbsp almond butter
- 2 tbsp almond flakes
- 2 tbsp shredded coconut
- 2 tbsp walnuts or pecans
- 1 tbsp honey (optional)
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- Pinch of salt
Method:
- Crush the walnuts (or pecans) with a rolling pin, keeping the pieces relatively large for added texture
- Melt the coconut oil on the stovetop or in the microwave
- Warm the almond butter until it’s easy to mix
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well
- Spread the mixture onto a tray lined with parchment paper
- Refrigerate for 3 hours or freeze for 30 minutes until set
- Cut into pieces and enjoy!
