Distinct celebrates new office space in Boston, MA

We are delighted to announce the inauguration of our newest office in Boston, Massachusetts.

In 2021, we proudly introduced our unique, people-centric recruitment approach to the East Coast. Today, our specialist teams support individuals and firms in the public accounting, finance, and legal sectors across 17 states. With plans for further growth, our new Boston office marks an exciting chapter in our ongoing evolution.

Distinct’s new office in Boston

On May 13th, 2024, we were thrilled to open the doors to our new office space in the heart of Boston. Located at 501 Boylston Street, just a stone’s throw away from the historic Public Garden, this office marks a significant milestone for Distinct.

Why Boston? When Distinct first expanded into North America, Boston was where we took our first steps. Over the past few years, we have built strong relationships with customers across the East Coast so it felt like a natural progression to secure a permanent hub, to better enable our team to provide the very best service.

Following a rigorous six-month process, we are also excited to announce that our colleagues Imogen and Rebecca have relocated to Boston full-time.

As James Calder, Chief Executive Officer expressed, “This is an incredibly exciting time for Distinct. Our vision has always been to provide regional, national and international opportunities. Establishing an Americas-based team represents the realization of that vision and underscores our commitment to the North American market.”

This dedicated space accommodates our two US-based partners and 15 members of our public accounting and legal recruitment teams, who split their time between the UK and US to best support our American clients and candidates.

What this means for our service

As recruitment specialists focused solely on the public accounting, finance and legal sectors, our team must understand the continually evolving, unique demands and ambitions of these markets.

Establishing a US-based team and securing a permanent office space enhances our ability to meet the bespoke needs of our clients and candidates. With this new strategic hub, we are better positioned to deliver tailored recruitment solutions that ensure the best long-term benefits for both parties.

What CPA firms say about Distinct

These include shared values and culture, a collaborative approach to problem-solving and consistently high-quality candidates who integrate well into our team. Their ability to reliably meet our needs has established our long-term partnership.”

– Angela Merullo, Recruiting Specialist at LGA

“We’d recommend Distinct – unless you are looking for high-quality accountants with individual return experience and take our candidates. All kidding aside, we’ve had experiences with multiple recruiters and Distinct is just so far ahead of everyone else. Hire them and you’ll wish you had done it sooner.”

– Jeff Krueger, Partner at Seaport Financial Partners LLC

Future plans and growth

Our newly established presence in Boston is a crucial part of our strategic plans for the future. This acquisition strengthens our position in the US recruitment market, as well as laying the groundwork for further expansion to serve customers across the continent.

James Hales, USA Director and head of our legal division, emphasized “We’re thrilled to have achieved this milestone in our expansion. Our North American branch has flourished in recent years and we’re excited to see where this new chapter will take Distinct and our team.”

We extend our gratitude to everyone who made this massive move possible in such a short time – our HR, finance and leadership teams, as well as Rebecca and Imogen, for trusting us to support them through this significant transition.
